World Alert: Double suicide bomb attack in Kabul leaves at least 21 dead, including Afghan journalist rushing to scene after first blast

Dozens more were wounded in the consecutive suicide bombings in a highly secure area of the Afghan capital, police said. The first explosion left at least five people dead and four others wounded, according to police. The second — which was more powerful and hit just as news photographers and cameramen were rushing to the scene — appeared to follow a pattern of insurgent attacks intended to draw people to the site of a primary attack and unleash another round of devastation. The journalist killed was an Afghan photographer for Agence France Presse, his office in Kabul confirmed. A cameraman for Al Jazeera was reported wounded.
