Cybersecurity 2018: A Special Report

The timing is urgent: Already, two researchers at a security conference have shown that — with the proper equipment and knowledge — they could remotely hack into a vehicle on a nearby road and paralyze it.

And even as the modern world explores the vast benefits of using devices that are part of the Internet of Things (IoT) network, there is strong concern that the IoT network is vulnerable to random cyberattacks, theft and misuse.

On Monday Jan. 29, more than 30 U.S. federal officials, military leaders and cyber experts will offer their views on cybersecurity and how it can be upgraded to offer even more powerful protection of personal, consumer, defense, national, business, health care and election data.

In addition, many authors will write about the next generation of cyber workers — and how the nation will raise up people with the latest IT skill sets, experience and savvy to fight and protect against cyberattacks.

Don't miss CYBERSECURITY 2018, coming Jan. 29, 2018.
