Security Council on Monday authorized a multinational mission to help police in Haiti beat back the armed gangs that have taken control of large swaths of the beleaguered nation, as requested by Prime Minister Ariel Henry. Still to be worked out: the size of the mission, when it will be deployed, rules of engagement and exit strategy. |
