World Alert: U.S. Ambassador to Russia John J. Sullivan retires and leaves Moscow amid war in Ukraine

Sullivan had been the U.S. envoy to Moscow since December 2019, serving as the main U.S. interlocutor there when U.S.-Russia relations deteriorated to post-Cold War lows.
