The Department of Homeland Security is planning as many as eight flights per day to Haiti, according to four U.S. officials with knowledge of the plans, who cautioned that details were in flux. The Biden administration was preparing to announce its plans Saturday, said two of the officials, who were not authorized to discuss the flights. The deportation blitz is aimed at discouraging more border-crossers from coming to a crude South Texas camp where 13,000 people have already arrived, according to the officials. |
