Canada on Wednesday added the Proud Boys to a list that includes al-Qaeda, the Islamic State and al-Shabab in an attempt to crack down on what senior officials called one of the country's "most serious threats." The announcement comes less than a month after Proud Boys allegedly joined the violent mob that attacked the U.S. Capitol after attending a rally by then-President Donald Trump. The group was founded by a Canadian and is active in both the United States and Canada. |
