| Fellow American: You've probably heard plenty about the violent mob who stormed the U.S. Capitol building during a joint session of Congress last week, but did you hear about the Capitol Hill police officers who lead the rioters down the wrong corridors so they wouldn't storm the Senate or House Chamber, thereby protecting the Members of Congress? You've probably heard plenty about the Legislators and staffers who were forced to barricade doors, and go into secure locations along with Vice President Pence, but did you hear about the Capitol Hill police officer who was hit in the head by a rioter with a fire extinguisher and died the next day? The Capitol Police, like most community police, put their lives on the line to do their duty. No matter what ideas or laws are debated in those chambers, they defend these legislators, including the ones who score political points by painting all police as racist monsters.
Most media sources have been happy to report calls by Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer to have the Capitol Police Chief, Steven Sund resign, and eventually he did. Unfortunately, most of them failed to mention that Captain Sund was denied requests "six times" when he sought approval to call in the National Guard for backup, but the politicians were afraid of the "optics" and you know how this ended. As the videos show, the Capitol Hill police were completely overwhelmed that day, but this is the result when politicians see more gain to be made by treating cops like the enemy. It is disgusting. The brave men and women in Blue deserve nothing less than our full support. The Thin Blue Line protects our nation's most hallowed halls, and our right to speak freely—even if they disagree. Law enforcement officers should never be used as scapegoats for political gain, but that became the cause du jour of the left last year, and now we are witnessing the after effects of a nationwide effort to devalue and disrespect law enforcement at every level. As a result, officers quitting their departments at an alarming pace from the chiefs all the way down to the patrol officers, thereby leaving our communities to be preyed upon by criminal elements. Is this the goal of these politicians? To leave citizens exposed and in harms' way?
My name is Sam Peters, and I am a former Law Enforcement K-9 handler, Bronze Star Medal recipient, and an Air Force veteran of four deployments to various combat zones. I have worked riot control, I've been shot at, and I've had to draw my weapon in the line of duty. With your support, the Law Enforcement Loyalty PAC will vigilantly support candidates and incumbents who stand by our nation's law enforcement officers and all those who keep our communities safe. We cannot allow the rioters to go unpunished, and we cannot allow the sacrifices of these brave officers to stand for nothing. For your safety,
