Fellow American, Meet Officer Tamarris Bohannon. This weekend, he was shot and killed in St. Louis after responding to a call involving a gunman. Tamarris was the eighth St. Louis officer shot since June. Sadly, Bohannon leaves behind his wife and three children. In a heartfelt letter, his wife notes, Tamarris was a "hero to many but most importantly to his loving wife and three incredible children." Tamarris' three children will now have to grow up without a father at home. This is what it's like to be a police family in America. The National Fallen Officer Foundation exists today to take care of the families of fallen officers. Our sole focus is to see to it that they are taken care of when tragedy strikes. Will you help us in fulfilling our mission?
Our heroes in uniform wake up every morning not knowing if they will make it home to their family that night. As a family member of an officer, you never know when you will get that knock on your door. Tamarris's family received that knock on their door this weekend. As a result, they will never get to see him again. Soon, the cameras will leave and the family will have to pick up the pieces and move forward without Tamarris. The National Fallen Officer Foundation exists to help these families move forward. We are a non-profit organization, and any donation you feel inclined to give may be tax-deductible on your personal tax filings. With your generous support, we can provide financial relief to Officer Bohannon's family. Officer Bohannon was the 34th officer gunned down this year alone. This unspeakable violence is tearing families apart and often times they are left picking up the pieces on their own. We pray that the attacks against our law enforcement will come to an end. Unfortunately, in today's environment, our officers are facing insurmountable dangers and pressures. When a family receives that knock on their door, we commit to standing by their side as they move forward. I promise you I will never forget the sacrifice Officer Bohannon gave in the name of serving & protecting his community and protecting his kids. I hope you won't either. For Our Officers, | ||
