Trending Now: A young Indian couple married for love. Then the bride’s father hired assassins.

They were young, glamorous and dreamily in love, but their marriage defied an age-old system of discrimination and hierarchy in India: The groom was a Dalit, a term used to describe those formerly known as "untouchables." The bride belongs to an upper caste. Less than a month after they married, a man came up behind them carrying a large butcher knife in his right hand. He hacked the groom twice on the head and neck, killing him instantly. Police say the bride's father hired the killer and has confessed to the crime.
