Djokovic, the world No. 1, won his 16th Grand Slam title and became the the first man in the Open era over age 30 to successfully defend a Wimbledon title with his 7-6 (7-5), 1-6, 7-6 (7-4), 4-6, 13-12 (7-3) victory.
