House panel issues subpoenas to Treasury, IRS for Trump tax returns
House Ways and Means Chairman Richard E. Neal (D-Mass.) gave Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and IRS Commissioner Charles Rettig until next Friday to turn over President Trump's returns or face additional legal action.
U.S.-China talks end for the day, with no word of a trade deal
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said there were "constructive discussions" between both sides. Earlier, President Trump defended his decision to double tariffs on $200 billion in Chinese imports, an increase that went into effect overnight.
