The FBI has begun contacting people as part of an additional background investigation of Supreme Court nominee Brett M. Kavanaugh, according to people familiar with the unfolding investigation. It was unclear whether agents had yet interviewed Deborah Ramirez, who was a classmate of Kavanaugh's at Yale.
