| | All of the 11 Republican members of the Senate Judiciary Committee voted in favor of Kavanaugh's nomination, while the 10 Democratic members banded together in opposition. Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., and Democrats have called for a one-week delay in the full Senate vote to allow time for an FBI investigation. Christine Blasey Ford says that Kavanaugh pinned her to a bed and tried to remove her clothes at a party when they were both teens, and multiple other women have made sexual misconduct allegations against him. Kavanaugh vehemently denied the allegations.
