World Alert: Colombian presidential election heads to run-off

No candidate emerged a winner in Sunday's voting in Colombia. A runoff between the top two vote-getters will be held June 17. For the first time in decades, voters will have a choice between rightist and leftist candidates — conservative Iván Duque and progressive Gustavo Petro — at a time when the country is facing an array of problems, including stepped-up cocaine cultivation, a weakening economy and a flood of migrants from neighboring Venezuela.
