RNC official steps down after admitting $1.6 million payment to pregnant Playmate
Elliott Broidy, a top GOP fundraiser and prominent backer of President Trump, left his post as deputy finance chair of the Republican National Committee after revelations that Trump's embattled personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, negotiated a deal in late 2017 with a former Playboy model whom Broidy had impregnated, according to people familiar with the deal.
Cohen wants to bar prosecutors from reviewing materials seized from his office
